I had the worst experience at this hotel that I've ever had. I reserved a room for Saturday March 19, 2005 online for the Days Inn in Kalamazoo, MI. I was told check-in was at 3. When I arrived at 7, there still was no room available for me. I took my luggage that I had brought in to a relatives room that was staying at the hotel. I then went to a local event and returned to the hotel at midnight. I immediatly went to the front desk to finally get my room. After ringing the bell 10 times and waiting for help for 20 minutes, I was finally greeted by a very rude employee. I was then told that I had to be 21 to rent a room. Most hotel you have to be 18. I told the lady that I booked the room online and that there was nothing noted about age requirements. The woman finally gave me the room after I informed her I could get the room because my family had 3 rooms booked and one of them would put it in their name. I asked for a late check-out considering it took so long to get my room. With a attitude, the woman said she was not authorized to give late check-outs and that if I was lucky I could go to the front desk in the morning and request one. THis defeated the purpose of the late check-out so I could sleep in. Every one of the rooms my family had, was dirty. The hallways were unvacumed, had dirty walls and were very unpresentable. When I went to my room, I found that even dirtier than the hallways. There was still coffee in a dirty coffee pot. The heat was not on and the room was freezing, because of the heat situation, I had to go spend time in my relatives room until in warmed up. The floor appeared to not have been vacumed. THe bathroom was disgusting! The only thing that appeared to have been done was the trash was emptied. THere was a roll of toilet paper left from the guests before myself on the roll. The sink was not clean and had gunk all over it. THe shower was dirty and still had a used razor from the guest before us in it. THe toilet had pubic hair on it, so I assumed that was not clean either. I went down to the pool to find the most disgusting pool I have EVER saw in my life. The water was murky and dirty. When they started to drain the pool the following morning, there was a yellow/brown thick ring around the pool. You could clearly see that that was where the water was before being drained and you could see how dirty the pool was. I was very unhappy with my stay and will not reccommend stying at the days inn, especially in Kalamazoo to ANYONE!!!!!! I would have rather slept in my car than in this establishment.
