Recommended Restaurants:
Hereford House on Main Street, just North of the hotel. Also, the Country Club Plaza is only 5 minutes (2 miles) away, and that area has several. I would recommend Houston's, Capital Grille, and McCormik's and Schmik's seafood.

Recommended Things to Do:
Shopped at the nearby Plaza, and Crown Center, toured the liberty memorial (only WW1 memorial in the U.S.), and Union Station, all are extremely close.

How they liked the room:
|
The room was spacious, and suprisingly upscale for a Fairfield Inn. It looks and feels more like a Courtyard. Rooms and public spaces were clean, and the indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness facility was welcomed. Complimentary WIRELESS Hi-speed internet was great too.

Public Transportation:
|
There was a bus stop out front, and plenty of taxis

I found the best rate on Marriott.com. Marriott's best rate guarantee says that you can't find a cheaper rate anywhere else for their hotels, and they appear to be correct

Would they stay here again?

Absolutely, service was great, and I appreciated the convenient location to all KC attractions. The hotel is located in historic Union Hill, and I read an article on it, the historic neighborhood is being transformed into the lively community it once was. It's an all brick hotel, which matches the historic Union Hill's charm.

If you're going to the Country Club Plaza, I recommend staying at this hotel, saving at least $30 on the room, and driving 2 miles.
